Few ideas how to spend your holiday while staying in Kokopo beach Bungalows resortWe all love holiday and many of us love to plan it out to the last detail , but if you have not started planning yet, here are few ideas on what you could do while staying in Kokopo Beach Bungalows Resort KBB Attending Free Education Program Launch for Karawara island .On Friday, April 26th, the community of Karawara witnessed the fruit of a successful initiative called Kabakon Island Survive and were presented with the funds raised through the initiative by Wayne Abraham – Operations Manager of Kokopo Beach Bungalow Resort. Kabakon Island Survive is an initiative by Ward Member Eron Corey and the community of Karawara Island in conjunction with Simon and Evelyn Foo of Kokopo Beach Bungalow Resort. The project began in 2015 with the construction of a small traditional house on the neighboring [uninhabited] Kabakon Island, its primary function being to cater to tourists or local visitors wanting to spend the weekend away on the island. Around this same time the initiative also saw the implementation of a small site fee for day-use of the islands white sandy beaches. The funds raised through these initiatives have been collected by KBB and was banked directly into the Kabakon Island Account – a monthly summary being issued to the ward member for his presentation with the committees. We would like to congratulate the community of Karawara for following through with the maintenance and care of the facilities on Kabakon Island and for their hospitality to both tourists and local visitors to their island. Your continued effort has seen the delivery of fee free-education to your children and will enable them to build a better future for themselves & your community. We would also like to say thanks to all our guests who have taken tours with us to the Duke of York islands, and Kabakon Island. Your tour prices includes site fees that directly contributes and supports this project. Full credit goes to ward member Eron Corey and Karawara Island Community members for the initiatives of fees raised going towards School & Project fees for the children of Karawara Primary School. We slowly glide down next to the wall . passing many types of corals, small crevices with lobsters, Squirrel fish and eels hiding. From time to time we stop and observe schooling fish passing by us next to the wall , with occasional turtle swimming trough them right at us.
